[Amaya Travels] Taiwan Trip Part 6: Puli (埔里)

A very quick post on Puli, our stopover when we wanted to Nantou to visit Sun Moon Lake~

Puli is a very laidback and small town, but there is awesome food here regardless!

Guesthouse Puli has a lot of travel info (:

Our hostel owner recommended us a dinner place with Japanese cuisine! There was also a bar, but we weren't interested xD

It was night time, so the signage outside wasn't clear ):

Simple menu! We just got the standard 100 NTD one xD
Every meal you order comes with free flow soup and drink bar! Self-service.

Glorious food!

Since there is space in this post, I will post pictures about Taiwan's convenience stores! Taiwan is the land of wonderful convenience stores!! *A* It's amazing that they have all-day breakfast combo deals! Very great for getting breakfast, and asking for directions xD

Travel toiletries!

Seems like the Taiwanese love Hello Kitty too!

[Amaya Travels] Taiwan Trip Part 5: 台中 (Taichung)

And I'm back with my Taiwan trip updates! Second day in Taichung was spent with good food. knowledge and walks :D Photo strolling begins!

Miyahara (宫原眼科)

This ice-cream store is built inside an old medical hospital, with the external architecture maintained. There is now a second branch nearby with a slightly different theme: built within an old bank! The main selling point of Miyahara is their ice-cream, but you can buy a ton of different sweets in there with amazing packaging *A*

While queuing, you're given a menu. If you don't know how to fill it in, you can wait till you meet a waitress, and she'll help you fill it in.

So many different kinds of chocolate ice-cream!

Left: 半梦半醒之间  Right: 跟往事干杯

Lots of decorative ribbons~

Everything looks like books below, but they are all sweets/biscuits. Awesome packaging!

Happiness lies in eating sweets. Agree!

Chocolate displays!

Science Museum (科学博物馆)

If you bring along your student card, you can purchase the discounted tickets for most places! This museum was particularly fun (^^)

Inside there was a separate Alice-themed exhibition/games going on. You need to purchase another ticket to get in.

The biggest attraction in the whole musuem.

Right outside the musuem, it links to the artsy walkways of Taichung!

You can buy beef noodle from a fast food chain *A*

So-so, nothing much to expect from fast food...

Pretty cafe outside our hostel, but we never got the time to visit ):

More tea LOL

Last stop! Not many photos as we were too busy eating LOL.

Feng Jia Night Market (逢甲夜市)

Totoro!

卤味!

Any LINE fans?

Such cute helmets!

Colourful luggages
